Editorial disclaimer for an independent solar education guide

Disclaimer

General information only. Australian Solar Power is not an installer, retailer, network, or government rebate office. Do not treat anything on this site as energy, financial, or installation advice. Check current official rules.

Check current rules. This page is general information, not energy or financial advice. Rebates, feed-in tariffs, export limits, and accreditation lists change. Confirm details with the Clean Energy Regulator, energy.gov.au, your state program, AEMO-connected network rules, and licensed, accredited trades.

This disclaimer is the long form of the band that appears on every public page. If a sentence elsewhere on the site feels more confident than this page, this page wins.

Nature of the publication

Australian Solar Power (australiansolarpower.com.au) publishes general information about how household rooftop solar, common system architectures, home batteries, and Australian incentive rails work. It is an independent education guide. It is not a licensed electrical contractor, solar designer, energy adviser, financial adviser, lawyer, or government agency.

Nothing on this site is an offer to sell goods or services, a quotation, a recommendation of a particular product or trade, or a promise that any household will achieve a bill outcome.

No energy, financial, or installation advice

Household energy decisions depend on roof geometry, electrical supply, network constraints, retail contracts, occupancy, load shape, and changing regulation. We do not inspect sites and we do not know your circumstances. You must obtain advice from appropriately licensed and accredited professionals and you must read official primary sources before you act.

If you rely on this site as if it were advice, you do so against this notice.

Incentives, tariffs, and “check current rules”

The Small-scale Renewable Energy Scheme, small-scale technology certificates, state and territory programs, network export limits, and feed-in tariffs change. Deeming periods step down. Product lists are updated. Installer accreditation schemes have transitioned. Retail offers are withdrawn.

We describe the existence of those rails and we link to bodies such as the Clean Energy Regulator, energy.gov.au, the Clean Energy Council, Solar Accreditation Australia, AEMO, and state program sites. We do not freeze dollar amounts, payback periods, or rankings. If a third-party copy of this site adds numbers, they are not ours.

Always check current rules on the official page that owns the rule.

Official sources are not endorsements the other way

Citing the Clean Energy Regulator, AEMO, a state government, or a council body does not mean that organisation endorses this guide. Trademarks and agency names remain theirs. We are not their communications office.

Heritage URLs and rewritten content

Paths such as /Lander.aspx and various .html aliases redirect to current hubs. Content has been rewritten for this rebuild. Archive snapshots are historical artefacts, not the current text. Do not treat a Wayback Machine capture as this publisher’s present view.

Accuracy and availability

We aim to keep mechanisms and links honest. We do not warrant completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted access. Pages may contain errors. Official URLs may move. Notify us via Contact if you find a fault.

To the extent permitted by Australian Consumer Law and other applicable law, we exclude liability for loss arising from use of, or reliance on, this site. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to resupply of the information.

Third-party sites and embeds

Links to cer.gov.au, energy.gov.au, and other domains leave our control. Their privacy practices and content are theirs. FormSubmit processes contact messages according to its terms; see Privacy.

Intellectual property

Site text, original diagrams, and original images are published by Australian Solar Power except where noted. You may not copy the guides for a commercial solar sales funnel without permission. You may quote short passages with attribution and a link for genuine commentary or compliance notes.

All trademarks, including manufacturer, retailer, and agency marks, belong to their owners. Use on this site is for identification.

Safety

Electrical work, roof work, and battery work can kill or burn. Do not treat explainers as instructions. Isolation, labelling, and commissioning belong to licensed people. If you smell smoke, see damaged equipment, or cannot shut a system down, use emergency services and your installer — not this website.

Contact for legal notices

Use the contact form. Do not send original documents you cannot afford to lose.

By continuing to read the hubs, you accept this disclaimer. The footer notice on every page is a short pointer back here.

Quotes, rankings, and user-generated colour

We do not publish installer league tables. We do not invent star ratings. We do not fabricate visitor quotes. If you see a testimonial on a scrape or a social reshare of this domain, treat it as unverified and tell us via Contact.

Any “from $…” or “payback in n years” fragment that appears to come from this publisher is unauthorised or erroneous. Remove it from your notes. Use a written quote and official portals instead.

Jurisdiction

These guides are written about Australian household rooftop solar and Australian public institutions. They are not a description of schemes in other countries. Even inside Australia, a rule that applies in one state may not apply in another. The word “national” on this site means a Commonwealth scheme or a mainland market operator, not “true in every street”.

If you need binding advice, you need a professional who is allowed to give it. This page exists so that nobody can say they were not told.

Official sources

Where to verify, not what to memorise

Direct answers

What readers always ask

Each answer starts with the point, then the context. Rules, tariffs, and product lists change — verify with official sources before you act.

Is information kept up to date?

We rewrite guides against official sources — the Clean Energy Regulator, energy.gov.au, the Clean Energy Council, AEMO, and state program sites — and we date pages so you can see when a hub was last edited. Incentive numbers are never treated as live. Always re-check the source.

What belongs on the about hub?

Who publishes this independent guide, how it is not an installer or retailer, how we handle sources, and how corrections reach us. It is the accountability page, not a company brochure.

Next step

Read the next guide before you book anything

This is an education site. Use the hubs to learn the system, then verify rebates, tariffs, and installer accreditation on official pages.

Independent guide

Australian Solar Power is not an installer, energy retailer, network business, or government rebate office. We do not publish live prices, payback years, or installer rankings. Incentive and tariff rules change — confirm them with the Clean Energy Regulator, energy.gov.au, your state program, and licensed trades. See the full disclaimer.
